Movie Review: Mula sa Kung Ano ang Noon

The Philppines, 1972. Mysterious things are happening in a remote barrio. Wails are heard from the forest, cows are hacked to death, a man is found beeding to death at the crossroad and houses are burned. Ferdinand E. Marcos announces Proclamation No. 1081 putting the entire under Martial Law.

I've been able to watch the premiere screening of Mula Sa Kung Ano ang Noon at the World Premiere Film Festival.

The cinematography of the film is like a moving painting. The black and white color of the film adds emotion on what it would like to portray as a film. It's good to see this kind of film about a story in a remote areas during martial law. The story of the film is also fresh and raw for me. Mahuhusay ang lahat na nagsipagganap sa pelikulang ito and it's very challenging especially doon sa gumanap na may down syndrome. This film is worth of your time watching and truly a gem that we can keep on for film industry. A one of a kind film for those who like to see a different take of Filipino films.

My Verdict: 4/5
