Movie Review: Swap

A young father is torn between solving a crime and committing another crime when one day his only son is kidnapped and the criminals demand him to steal another kid in exchange for the life of his son.

I appreciate the style that the film maker impose in creating this film. Film maker Remton Siega Zuasola always tries to introduce new approach in story telling particularly in this film that has one long take from start to beginning. I appreciate the vision of the director for giving us something new in local film industry. The film is an odd mix of beautifully bleak atmosphere and genuine performances.
and Matt Daclan conveys a great deal about his character in small, subtle ways. Despite its technical glitch in audio in some of the scenes, Swap still retains its tension done with innovative style and surprise to keep you watching. Swap is ambitious for its own good, but it is still a pleasure to watch.

My Verdict: 3.5/5
