McCoy De Leon Makes His Film Debut In Instalado by Jason Paul Laxamana

McCoy De Leon of #Hashtags leads the social science fiction film Instalado. Instalado is one of the sixth finalists competing in the 2^nd ToFarm Film Festival. McCoy plays as Victor, an educated son of farmer who struggles to afford the sky-high cost of installation; which he believes is the key to escape his rural life.  The film is set in time when the dominant form of education is through installation, a process wherein bodies of knowledge can be installed directly into people's brains using technology owned by big corporations. In order to raise money for installation, he abandons farming and works as the housekeep of a wealthy childhood friend who has become extremely successful after undergoing a series of installations.

In this film McCoy experienced to plant rice and plow a rice field with carabao. Being part of this film is an opportunity for him to showcase his acting skills and encourage audience to support agricultural industry.

Joining McCoy in the film are Star Magic’s Francis Magundayao, Junjun Quintana, Archie Adamos, Joel Saracho, Barbara Miguel, Jay Garcia, Cecile Yumul, Liya Sarmiento and Kim Duenas
